We have been in the UK for 14 days. This was the best meal I’ve had here. I ordered the breaded chicken breast topped with asparagus. The meal came with green beans, broccoli, and potatoes. We had a bottle of wine and ordered an ice cream with chocolate dessert. The servers were attentive. Food seasoned perfectly and tasted delicious.
Finally got to try this family restaurant for lunch today. Ravioli with sage butter was very tasty. Pizza was good, but needs improvement. More ham and tomato sauce needs more spices, such as oregano. Minestrone soup was good, but needs more spices to elevate flavor and richer taste. Suggestion maybe add some beans as well. Cake was lovely. Cassata was the old fashioned way done and delicious! Coffee macchiato was bit strong. Will come back to try more food.
Family run restaurant full of quaint trattoria-charm and a simple menu of Italian classics. Food was quite basic, but appropriately priced. I had the crab spaghetti which tasted good. The ragu tagliatelle lacked flavour and needed much more seasoning. The calamari and prawn/avocado starters were fine. Service was prompt and polite.
Beautiful cosy Italian just by Notting Hill Gate. The Minestrone soup was wonderful and full of deep fresh flavours as was the Wild Boar ragu with perfectly cooked, slightly al-dente pasta. Every mouthful called to be savoured. All this with a lovely glass of Trebbiano d’Abruzzo followed by a Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. I then felt compelled to have dessert so tried the panna cotta. It was perfectly set, just the right amount of wobble, and tasted amazing. This is what Italian food should be. A real treat.
Lovely Italian restaurant, the food was beautifully prepared and presented. The service was prompt and the food was hot! It’s exactly what we wanted. A place to return to!
